Pueblo crime beat: Tools taken from work site, several vehicles stolen – Pueblo Chieftain

A home undergoing work in the 1100 block of Santa Fe Avenue was broken into just before 2 p.m. on Sunday.

Several tools were stolen, including miscellaneous drywall and paint tools valued at $1,200, an electric paint sprayer valued at $800 as well as other tools.

The total value of items stolen was $3,245.

Police are investigating.

Electronics stolen from residence

A woman in the 700 block of Berkley Avenue reported that an unknown party entered into her residence about 3:15 p.m. Friday and stole several items, including a Nintendo Wii console, a 32-inch flat screen television and other electronic items.

The self-estimated value of the stolen items was $1,180.

Police are investigating.

Pipes damaged at smoke shop

Pueblo Police Department responded to a report of property damage at On Deck Smoke Shop at 1525 Moore Ave., shortly after 3 p.m. Friday.

The victim said that an unidentified male attempted to steal glass pipes and damaged them during the confrontation.

The business estimated the damaged pipes to have a value of $1,258.

Police are investigating.

Jewelry and firearm stolen

A woman reported that an unknown party entered her residence in the 500 block of Kingston Avenue around 7:45 p.m. Friday and stole several items, including $475 worth of jewelry, electronics and a pistol.

The stolen items were self-valued at $1,550.

Cash stolen from restaurant

Police responded to a burglary at a restaurant on the 400 block of Santa Fe Avenue just before 8 a.m. Sunday.

The victim reported that $463 in cash was stolen from two locations inside the building.

Stolen vehicles

  • A 2012 Jeep Wrangler was reported stolen in the 100 block of Dick Trefz Street just before 6 a.m. Friday morning. The victim estimated the vehicle was valued at $26,000 and had a stock stereo worth $700.
  • A 2014 Nissan Pathfinder was reported stolen in the 500 block of Michigan Street just before 1 p.m. Friday afternoon. The victim estimated the vehicle was valued at $14,000.
  • A 2013 Dodge Dart was reported stolen in the 1700 block of South Prairie Avenue just after midnight Sunday. The victim reported that he left his keys inside a bar and then noticed the car was stolen from the parking lot. He estimated the car’s value at $6,500. 
  • A 2009 Pontiac G6 was reported stolen in the 3000 block of North Elizabeth Street just before noon Sunday. The victim estimated his vehicle was valued at $5,000.
  • A 2017 Nissan Rogue was reported stolen in the 100 block of Royal Crest Drive at approximately 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The victim estimated the value of the vehicle at $23,000. 
  • A 1995 Saturn SC2 was reported stolen in the 1000 block of Ruppel Street at approximately 9:15 p.m. Sunday. The victim estimated the car was worth $1,500, along with electronics in the car worth $200.
  • Police continue to investigate recent auto thefts.
