Turin (AP) – Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has survived his infection with the corona virus and is allowed to end quarantine. The 35-year-old striker had tested negative for the virus and is considered recovered, his club Juventus Turin said.
The football professional may come out of national isolation and could be available again for the Serie A club on Sunday in the league game at promoted La Spezia.
The Portuguese had to spend a total of 19 days in quarantine after his infection and, among other things, missed the prestigious Champions League duel with FC Barcelona, which Juve lost 2-0 last Wednesday. The Turin team also had to play two Serie A matches and the Premier League away game at Dynamo Kiev (2-0) without their superstar. Ronaldo was diagnosed with a corona infection on October 13 while staying with the national team.
