DUI arrests

  • Kyle Cole, 25, of East Mallard Lane, Floral City, at 1:35 a.m. Nov. 22 on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence.   • Justin Kowalik, 41, of South Monroe Street, Beverly Hills, at 2:28 a.m. Nov. 22 on a felony charge of driving under the influence with three prior convictions and a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license. According to his arrest affidavit, Kowalik was driving over 20 mph under the speed limit. He was asked to complete field sobriety tasks and refused. Breathalyzer testing of his blood alcohol level registered 0.259 and 0.238. The legal limit is 0.08. His bond was set at $5,500.

  • Avis Ware, 52, of Inverness, at 4:04 p.m. Nov. 21 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

  • April Keller, 53, of Dunnellon, at 3:44 a.m. Nov. 22 on a misdemeanor charge of domestic battery.

  • Wayne Raguseo, 57, of Inverness, at 11:39 p.m. Nov. 21 on a felony charge of child abuse. His bond was set at $4,000.

  • Dane Stracco, 51, of North Bighorn Point, Hernando, at 4:28 p.m. Nov. 21 on felony charges of trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of a controlled substance, along with misdemeanor charges of possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. According to his arrest affidavit, Stracco was a passenger in a vehicle pulled over for a routine traffic violation. A K-9 unit alerted to possible drugs in the vehicle and approximately 23.8 grams of methamphetamine, 0.6 grams of THC wax, 0.9 grams of marijuana, and a small scale were found in his possession. His bond was set at $29,000.

  • Rebecca Mowat, 34, of South Hazelton Terrace, Homosassa, at 11:01 a.m. Nov. 21 on a felony charge of criminal use of personal identification information. She was also charged with felony violation of probation.

  • Christopher Franke, 29, of Crystal River, at 10:52 p.m. Nov. 22 on felony charges of battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting an officer with violence, unlawful possession of a handcuff key, and possession of a controlled substance, along with misdemeanor drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $15,000.

  • Christopher Lanford, 31, of Southwest 160th Court, Ocala, at 10:28 p.m. Nov. 22 on an active Marion County warrant for felony petit theft. His bond was set at $4,000.

  • Troy Pittman III, 34, of Inverness, at 6:22 p.m. Nov. 22 on felony charges of petit theft and burglary. His bond was set at $7,000.

  • Vonda Leighty, 26, of East Teepee Lane, Hernando, at 5:25 p.m. Nov. 22 on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance. According to her arrest affidavit, Leighty was stopped for walking in the middle of the road and approximately 1 gram of methamphetamine was found in her possession. Her bond was set at $2,000.

  • Hayley Ross, 30, of Inverness, at 3:50 p.m. Nov. 22 on felony charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of contraband in a detention facility, along with a misdemeanor charge of possession of cannabis. Her bond was set at $10,000.

  • Jacob Keefer, 21, of South Greengate Point, Homosassa, at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 22 on a misdemeanor charge of retail petit theft. According to his arrest affidavit, Keefer is accused of shoplifting household items valued at $27.70 from the Homosassa Walmart. His bond was set at $500.
